Cassie, a teenage girl, suffers changeable free fall into the agonizing world of drug addiction and prostitution. Cassie loses her father to Cancer and falls into a destabilizing relationship with her mother, Monica. Her best friend, Stacey, leads Cassie into the sinister and uncompromising arms of a pimp called Uncle Eddy. He soon charms her into his sordid world of high-class hard drugs and soliciting. Soon, the sleazy streets of New York City become a refuge from her mother's mounting concern for her daughter. A homeless predator lurks in the street and stalks Cassie in an attempt to have her for himself. Cassie's only escape from the reality of her unravel ling life and these strange and threatening men is heroin for which she attempts to prostitute herself. Only her mother's dark secret may save Cassie.
