Peace Be With You is the story of Sean, a doubtful eighth-grade confirmation student, and Mara, a sophomore who's sworn off religious practice, reconnecting after breaking a statue of the Virgin Mary.
Peace Be With You is based on true experiences of not only practicing religion, but also the severe worries, doubts, and fears that harvest in teenagers. When growing up it's often easy to find yourself wondering: Am I a good person? Is what I'm doing right or wrong? Peace Be With You explores these questions while dissecting how religion can enhance or relieve these fears.
We explore these ideas to start a dialogue about these concepts and pressures placed on adolescents. Peace Be With You discusses religion from these points of view, while staying authentic and accurate to the thought processes of middle and high schoolers. Hopefully capturing the similarities that can be shared between two people undergoing similar changes who seem so different.
